Hey guys, I having trouble with my timing belt tensioner. Is there supposed to be a washer behind the tensioner to space it away from the block? When I took my engine apart I think there was one in front right under the bolt head but I don't remember one next to the block.

Damn it's **** to get old!!

TIA

But you didn't need to remove the tensioner pulley. All you needed to do was remove the tensioner piston and let the pulley swing away from the belt. I have emailed you a picture of the installed timing belt tensioner and its pivot bolt.

Scott, Thanks for the picture. I had to take everything off the engine except the heads to clean and paint or powdercoat it. This is going into an off road car and will be completely out in the open so it's got to be pretty. I can't be sitting at the bottom of competition hill after doing a wheelie up the hill and have someone come over to see what the **** kind of engine I have in my rail and see a spot of bare metal, now can I. :) :)
