Hi everyone,

Putting my new timing belt on and just checking a few points (my manual doesn't have the 3.0 DOHC motor info).

I have the cam sprocket markers at 12 O'Clock and crank at 0 TDC (didn't touch it after removal of old one).

After installing the new belt (with markers lined up), I believe sdpatt said rotate the crank clockwise to 60 Deg BTDC (as per the markers on the crank pulley) allowing the most tension on the belt from the tensioner pulley.

What is the torque setting for this please?

Anything else I need to know?

Sdpatt, if you could email that PDF file you made that would be great.

Thanks
Adrian

Adrian,

The spring in the tensioner sets the required belt tension. The torque specs are in the procedure. You have an email to your home address with the pdf file of the procedure.
