The step by step instrustions I printed from shotimes for changing the belt on a '95 ATX says I will need some kinda "hydralic belt setting tool and torque wrench adapter" :confused: ?? What is it and is it nesessary?? If it is where can I get one and what arre they worth?

I have never understood how this makes a darn bit of difference since the only thing applying pressure to tension the belt is the gas piston tensioner. When you remove the belt, you only have to remove the two bolts that secure the tensioner to the block. DO NOT loosen the bolt at the tensioner's idler wheel. You remove the tensioner from the engine and compress the piston with a C-clamp or vise and hold the shaft in place with a 3/32" drill bit or similar pin. No, you do not need a belt tension setting tool.
