So I'm thinking that I want to keep this car for a while, so...It's time to start the overhaul. What I am thinking about doing is to just start buying parts. Suspension, Brakes, Rod bearings, BBB, ZEX Nitrous, headlights (Fox Body), SUV harnesses, Nokya Bulbs for everything, new foglight housings (Blazer Maybe), Wheels, Tires, Radio Components, Bushing, Rack and Pinion (Creaky and Leaky), Steering pump, steering wheel, everything. Now, I can NOT get this all at once. So I think I will just buy what I can when I can and put it all away until I have it all, that way I only have to take the car apart once. So my questions are 1) What did I miss? 2) Will this work? and 3) Any suggestions, any input is greatly appreciated.

The Car: 1989 Titanium MTX from '91, new clutch, plugs, wires, radiator, thermostat, Y-pipe, and fuel pump.

I figure about 1600 to 1700 without wheels/tires and the lighting.

its gunna cost way more then that. Unless you are getting everything used and do all the work yourself, you MIGHT be able to do it for that much. The zex kit alone is 50 bucks. Big brake kits are upwards of 1k, the 96 upgrade is cheaper i think if thats what you are thinking of getting. ported intake BBB, shocks, springs, it adds up fast. I agree 1600 bucks is better off spend on maintance.

yeah, the 1600 was brakes, Bearings, and suspension, not the BBB and Zex Kit, and I will be doing most if not all of it myself.
