got Zex?
I've been gone for quite a while... and when I logged back into the forums this past week the "Last Online" of November 2008 just confirmed to me how long it's been.
My 95 MTX has become a stationary garage spot placeholder for over 2 years now. Stacking problems with the transmission/clutch assembly and minor things like the indiglo gauge control almost starting a fire under the dash while coming home from work on the highway lead me to purchase a new daily driver my 2004 Nissan Frontier. It's a great little truck with 4WD for these New England winters, it's been great.
But after researching the new 2010 SHO and how unlikely it would be that I could afford one right now (would have to trade in the truck as well) I started thinking about how much I really miss driving the 95. It's still up in the air but I'm seriously considering getting it back running in tip top shape.
There's alot of reasons why it's been over 2 years and I haven't touched the 95, mostly due to having 2 herniated discs in my back and no money to put towards the 95 at all. Even if I had the money I wouldn't have been able to work on it at all with my back. But I'm feeling so much better now and although I'm "old" I think I could do what I used to do, maybe a bit slower. Having a different daily driver will alleviate a lot of the stress of working on the SHO and not having to make sure it's back running ASAP.
Anyways I'm starting to calculate a rough estimate of all the parts and materials I'll need to get her back in shape. Guess it's time to dig up some old posts on everything I'll need to flush/change after a 2 year period of just sitting there.
Guess my long winded post is over, and just wanted to say it's great to see that the SHO community is still running strong.
