With my 2010 for Taurus SHO turned off I can rock the steering wheel and it sounds like there is play in the inner tie rods but when I start the engine there is no noise noticeable. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds more like the electric power steering - I think my 2013 did this brand-new. I'll check my 2016 later.

That is what I was thinking. I was trying to see if anyone else experienced the same thing.

Didn't have a chance to check today, I'll do it in the morning on the way to work. I hope :)

Sounds good, I can't trust the dealership where I bought it because they said it was a certified pre-owned car and that was proven to be a lie so I'm working on getting a little more familiar with the newer SHO.

Well, not to tell a horror story to anyone, but my 2013 when I turned it back in, had a few dings, a bunch of hits on the rims, almost bald tires, and my Ford dealer took it back no questions asked. Leasing inspector said it was fine :)

Never asked for maintenance records - I did all the oil changes myself, checked everything over myself, etc. But how was Ford to know that I did all that?

Overall, the car was in great condition when I turned it back in, but again, what poor slob got that car without the dealer (or Ford, or whoever) knowing what really happened to it?
