Being new to SHOs, I have been using this forum to learn how to take care of the 95 MTX I bought a few months ago. My car runs alittle rough at low speeds and does not seem to have the pick-up I read about all the time here. I checked the plug wells- all is fine there. Today, I cleaned the MAF, but it seemed fine. I also checked the throttle cable by having someone push the peddle to the floor. The cable was taught, no looseness. However, there is still some room for the throttle lever to turn. At WOT (Wide Open Throttle) I can use my hand and turn the thing the cable connects to another half turn. The cable is somewhat loose when the throttle is closed. Should this be a concern? Should the throttle open as far as it can?? I would really appreciate some advise from you SHO veterans. Thanks
