I just found out that a few months before I got my 93 atx, the girl who drove it was having idle problems. Her boyfriend (19yr no-it-all) decided to fix it by adjusting the throttle body screw. A little while after I got it I started have a ton of problems (http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=45332). It was driven for about a month before I parked it. I have heard and read that it can cause many problems if you mess with this. God I hope nothing has happened. How much damage could I have done?
My main issue now is a rough idle and the engine dies after it gets to temp. Also the exhaust smells real rich. I still have not changed the O2s yet (no $$). I found a company named Mitchell Motorsports (Billy Mitchell) on Starkey road in Largo. Does anyone know of him? A neighbor who has a 5.0 GT said this guy is the Ford Guru in Pinellas county. I'll keep you posted as to how he is.

If you think your throttle plate is messed up get another one. Just replace your throttle body. They can be had for $20 or so.

You might need a new Idle Air Control valve. Try cleaning yours as new ones are rather expensive.

Your car's ECT is probably bad and is in need of replacement (Wells SU201)

Is there oil in your plug wells? Have the plugs and wires been changed?
