225/60RV16 Tires fit on the slicer wheels? I mean...without rubbing or any major problems? If not, do I have to go with the 215's? I'd appreciate a response asap cuz I have to get back to the tire-rack on this. Thanks all

I had 225/60 (Yokohama AVS dB) mounted on 16x7 Estrellas, they fit fine with stock suspension, but I recently switched to 225/55 ES100's and like that size better. I don't think you want to run the 60's with Eibach or Intrax.

Tire rack has a pretty good price on the 225/55 ES100's and they are a really nice tires.

225/50 or 55's will fit a slicer wheel? Is that a suggestion or a sure sure recommendation? I'm just not sure about any of this tire sizing stuff...as far as the 225/60 tire...it's a P225/60VR-16 Continental ContiExtremeContact and they're $80 a piece. They wanna charge me $2 more for the 215's. Don't know if it's a deal, haven't bought tires in a long time. Let me know if I can put 225/50 or 55's on the slicers without no problems though. Thanks Saleen SHO...ASAP again if you can :p thanks

Well...nevermind. Talked to the guy at the Tire Rack... looks like I'm going with a 225/55RV16 Tire and it should do well with my koni/eibach setup. Can't wait to get my sho up and running again!

225/55 should do well with a koni/eibach setup. I think a 225 should fit on the 6.5in slicer with out any problems.

I would stay away from the 60 series with the Eibachs.

I have had 225/60, 225/55 and 225/50 all on my slicers at one time or another. They all fit without rubbing. I have SS Linears and Koni for springs and shocks.

Thanks all...talked to the guy at the tire rack...he confirmed the wheels are 6's, not 6.5. But says that 225 tires will fit wheels that are 6-8 in. wide. so it's cool i guess. Was just worried cuz I had never really bought tires for slicers, used to have the basketweaves. Thanks for all the replies

I have 225/60R16's on my SHO and they work great. Just be careful on long tight turns, they can rub the shocks. They sure look good, though... Mmm hm

I have 225/50/16 Good Year Eagle F1's $150 a pop! Then I ran her through the corners at the track! :dribble: Never thought an insaine driver, 130K stock suspention could handle as good, or better than some big $$$ suspention cars. I am a firm believer in spending the money for good rubber.
