Just to keep clear the details -- no such thing as a 2017 anniversary edition Mustang. 2015 was the 50th and got the branding for that, but no special performance packages. It could have been a FULL anniversary edition of which only 1,964 were made, again, no special performance package. I know because I have both an SHO and a 2015 GT Premium with the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package (no performance add-ons, just branding -- well, until I added some Ford Performance parts). It's probably a good thing I can drive both cars at the same time -- the Mustang does have awesome V8 rumble and will definitely shove you back in the seat when punched. The SHO is much more subtle due to the 1,000 lb more but is an awesome ride for distance travel. I'm hoping my next adventure will to take the SHO to the track for an HPDE weekend and discovering just how 4,400 lbs of all-wheel drive handles on a road course.

I believe the main advantage the 50th Anniversary 2015 Mustang had over the regular GT, was you got the PP bits in an automatic. Otherwise, if you wanted the PP on the Mustang, you had to get a manual.

I have subies try me a lot. Which is weird because they are scary slow. I'm not sure why they have such a following. domestics challenge me at meets but never want to dig. They will ONLY roll race which is silly.

Strangely enough I have pick ups try me a lot. Usually Dodge Ram hemi’s. Then they get mad as **** when I walk them. Did have one funny situation with a Mustang GT. He was in lane #1 with loud pipes making noise trying to get attention. I dropped down onto the highway from the entrance ramp behind him in a white Taurus with black side mirrors and was closing a little briskly. I laughed as he hammered the brake pedal thinking it was a cop. Once I rolled past him I got in front in lane #1. We came around a curve and a truck ahead in lane 1 moved to 2 and left all 4 lanes open ahead of us. I nailed it, he nailed it, somewhere beyond 120 (I wasn’t watching the speedo anymore) I couldn’t make him any smaller in the rear view and he wasn’t able or willing to go around me. So I moved to 2 and lifted. He slowly rolled up next to me and saluted. Like the Red Baron and snoopy!

Since I'm still not tuned at this point I've only got 6 or so runs under my belt with this car. In my infinate wisdom, about a year ago, as I pulled past a Interceptor Sedan with tinted windows I dogged him leaving the stop with some authority until he whipped around in front of me and hit the lights that were hidden inside the rear glass. Thankfully I gave him a thumbs up out the window and he went on his merry way, but I know he had to be thinking wtf is this ******** thinking.

Just had some dude in a veloster r-spec try me lmao. Just cruisin down a 3 lane speeding he blew by me so I caught up and told him lets go, at a 30 roll with him calling it we were neck and neck for about 60 feet then he just got smaller and smaller

I got a pretty good one for you. At a stop light and a camaro with an aftermarket straight up wing(i forget the fancy name) is behind me. All of a sudden he rolls up beside me. I thought I put it in 4wd but I turned it too far to 4low(which only engages in neutral). I see the light turn yellow on the intersection. I begin to brake boost it. Green light and I smoke my tires through the first 4 gears surprisingly only falling behind by about a car length. Next light he rolls down the window and gives me a thumbs up. I thumbs up and turn onto the on ramp.

I'm told those veloster Rs are fast for what they are, though. Competative with focus st, civic type r.

I saw a bike fly by today at probably 130ish. I was doing about 85. I had two thoughts for him. 1st, I hope you get pulled over. 2nd, if you wreck. I'm not stopping even if you are laying in the road.

Buddy of mine had a bike. Something stupid fast, don't know what. I don't know bikes. 4 wheels > 2 wheels.

But anyway, he used to tell me, police don't even bother him. And the few that do, he just downshift and runs. Successfully. On the interstate, his bike would go from 100 to 160 in a couple seconds, takes the first exit he finds, and zips away. He said most cops don't even try, because they know they can't catch a bike.

Which got me thinking...how often DO you see a bike pulled over by a cop? And for me, that answer is...never. I don't believe I've ever seen it.

Yeah, I've never seen one pulled over either. This makes me think they probably don't want to scrape the biker up when he runs so they don't bother chasing.

oh oh, I have fun insight to this. In Oklahoma city they have a no-pursuit rule with bikes. But what they do it analyze the dash cam and get as much info on the bike, rider, color of gear, type of gear etc. Then the detectives go out to regular bike meet spots in the city and walk around until they find their guy. I have no idea of the success rate of this method.

Spent three days in county for running on my bike in Corona, Ca. It is called "The Circle City" for a reason. That was my third time running on a bike, it wasn't a charm. Got hit by a police car, got tazed, and roughed up. My only saving grace was, the DA was a former Marine and I had never been in trouble before. I received time served, and the large fine. I don't run any more period, regardless of what stupidity I am engaging in.
