Thinks to look for?

Hello everyone! I am looking at a '90 SHO and was wondering what to look for problem wise? Its a high milage car (140K miles) rust free but a very rough interior. The engine sounds smooth with no lifter tick or other top end noise, the clutch, trany, timing belt, water pump, and some other various sensors were just replaced. The clutch is smooth but it takes a bit more effort to get it to go into gear that I would expect (no grinding though and it takes the same amount of effort to get it to go into any gear). There are marks on the top of the intake like a motor mount is bad and the ABS light is on. Anything eles I should look at?

You've spotted most of the obvious stuff. Check to see if the valve shims have been inspected and had the gaps checked. Check for any leaking oil in the sparkplug wells. Check to see if the a/c works.

just curious what the asking price is??? and what you are willing to pay.

I thought I got a decent deal on my '93 last year, great shape for $5500, since then I've put over $2000 into parts alone....struts and springs, radiator, water pump, plugs, wires....

Take a good look at everything, but most importantly you want RECEIPTS as proof to what has been changed recently.

didn't those come with the cable shifter?

I bought it last night. There were receipts for the new tranny, clutch, and 60k tune up done at 130k miles (the car has 140k on it). It needs new struts, possible new front motor mount, and the AC charged. O and a new interior wink ....I still can't figure out why EVERYTHING is sticky....
