Currently deployed to Iraq. Will return in March.

Married my G/F of 3 years right before deploying, soon to be having kids so we need a family type sedan. I love AWD/Turbos....so the SHO is a no brainer.

I really want a PP, but I have an offer for brand new 2015 White Platinum, Voice Act Nav, Power Moonroof, and 401A for 39,906 -plus ttl (5,500 off) Cash Back, Military, USAA discount. So out the door at around 42,000ish.

I just got quoted for a base 2016 for 41,054 plus TTL. Out the door around 44,000ish. This car would be ordered through the Overseas car buying program and my brand new car would be shipped to the dealership right next to my house and I pretty much walk in sign for the keys and walk away....everything would be completed over here. They would ship it March 2016.

My question....are the 16's actually going to be on the Fusion Frame, what engine are they running, etc. I heard a lot of rumor mills as of a year ago but there is nothing out about what liter displacement engine they will use, curb weights, etc. Cant find anything solid on what the car except color combos and interior combos.

I currently drive a 2004 Ram 1500 which would go to the wife to replace her 2003 Ford F15. My toy is a 600AWHP 3000GT VR4 Spyder (hence my user name).

What do you guys think the best deal is? Ideally I would find a 2015 w/o the premium paint, moonroof, Voice Nav, save 2 grand there and replace it with the PP.

For the Taurus...I see doing intake, DP, turbo, injectors, thermostat, tune, and maybe a little meth and calling it a day.

Welcome to SHOforum, and thank you for your service! Congrats on the marriage and impending additions to the family :thumb:

The 2016s will continue to be on the same platform as the 2010-15's. Look to specs on the 2013 for dimensions/power/etc. Changes will likely be "small" and scattered about and throughout the car, as Ford continues to refine & correct as needed, including changes to the computers' programming.

The 3.5 TT engine and 6F55 transmission continue on, for now.

Thanks for the reply. That makes the decision easy then, really need to get a 2015 with rebates and w/o all the extra stuff I really don't want. The PP is almost a make or break. I really want that traction true off capability....I don't think I will autocross it to much but I would love to take it out a time or two in a season just to learn the limits.

I really would like to get the base model with PP and be out the door for like 39k.

PM jmr061 (Jason) to see if he can update the as-built data for you to get the true traction off capability on a non-PP car. He does a lot of neat stuff, mostly showcased on his website at http://fordpimods.com. BUT, it is worth getting the PP just for the additional cooling (trans, oil, PTU) alone, not to mention the heavier-duty suspension or taller gearing, if you can swing it. The one "downside" is that you get summer tires with the PP, so if you live in the snow belt, that would be an extra cost to run a winter setup right away.

You should be able to get a loaded PP for that price. Don't settle! Sunroof, Navi, and multi contoured seats are great!

For me, hearing about the folks that don't like the 13-15 My Ford Touch, I would get the 2016 as it has the new and improved Sync3 which is not Microsoft based.
There is a fleet buyers guide posted elsewhere that shows all the 2016 changes, but highlights are a few new colors and Sync3.

Yep. The whole ball of wax. Took them a couple days to bite, but bite they did!

From what I understand, though, it only cost them around 30K, so they still made money.

So they found me a 2015 Tuxedo Black SHO, Performance Pack, 401A, Moon Roof, Voice Nav, Multi contoured seats for 39,000 financing with Ford. Im trying to make them honor the 39k with me financing through USAA.

Jedster did you lease or buy, have trade in, finance through Ford? I want to know how hard I can push for 37-39k with USAA financing, I know I can get 39 if I finance with Ford. If I lease they will take another 1,000 off but I refuse to lease, I will not have a trade in, and at this time really don't want to finance with them. This is the EXACT car I want and how I would ordered it down to the options and color, so I don't want it to slip through my fingers.

I leased through Ford. Best option for me even though I'm gonna go way over the allowed mileage. I'm buying it at the end of the three years, so not an issue. The lease ended up being the cheaper option in my case.

No trade, (it was severely crashed, pics in one of my other posts) but a healthy down-payment.

38-39 is pretty damn good. Much better than the 42 you originally posted!

Go for it! You'll be glad you did. :omgsho:

Found the link to a pic of the old car, if you're interested. http://www.shoforum.com/index.php?threads/i-have-bad-news-and-i-have-good-news.130365/

IMO, that price is not good enough on a 2015; you are being asked to eat a year's depreciation after all. Call me a dreamer, but 10K off sticker is more like what I would target on a 2015. I think you could get the same prices you are quoted on the 2015 for a 2016 if you hit the dealer in the dark months; like the last week in January.

Good point. If they say yes to the USAA for 39k I'm going to jump all over it. If they say I have to finance through ford I will tell them they will have to bring the price to 37k. I will then tell them to contact me when they can make that deal happen....hopefully the car sits for another couple months and they contact me back :)

Update, there is a 60MO, 0%APR and 2,000 off through Ford Financing....I may jump on this. The issue is now we are getting pressured because the "deals" run out on NOV02....I don't think these fully loaded SHOs are selling like hotcakes but they are claiming I'm getting this car at cost....which I think is ********. I think they have another 2k they are making.

If you were eligible for Ford A/Z (active and retiree) plan, you would see...you are not getting the car at cost at $39k. I think the X plan (Supplier discount) is around $37k on the SHO, which is not even that close to A/Z pricing. The dealer has more wiggle room... whether they choose to or not is the true question. I have seen quite a few 2015 SHOs, brand new, listed for low-mid 30s. Not sure on the options, and I believe the price advertised is with the employee discount. I would tend to agree with wonder... I think that price is too high for a '15. But depends how badly you want it... value is relative.

That's what I figured, thanks for letting me know. At the end of the day I'm still paying for MSRP. I know they have plenty of wiggle room. I'm honestly just nervous that if I send my wife in there they will strong arm her and raise the prices up. Sign her up for a bunch of extra "stuff", dealer added options, etc. I hate when I feel like I'm in a rush. I know there aren't many people in El Paso that can one afford a 40,000 Ford, the ones that can will be purchasing Lexus, BMW, etc. So I think this car will be sitting for a while. Ill probably slow things down, tell him I'm looking at Dodge Charger SRT8 and give them some time to think.

Don't be affraid to look for used. These things depreciate like rocks. I bought mine with 5500 miles and in service for 8 months back in May 2014 for $30,000. Every option for a PP. They haven't changed much since 2013. In fact, I don't even think you can get Auto Parallel Parking anymore with the Performance Package, like you could in 2013.
