thermostat question

i took out my thermostat because my temp gauge didnt rise at all, i have a 92 sho, and while looking at the thermostat it doesnt look to be stuck open, how can i tell if its a revision "A" or "B"? i cant start my car up to check to see if the new thermostat that i got works, (its a stant i got from advanced auto parts), b/c im in the middle of replacing my clutch to, does anyone have pics of both thermostats? anyway thanks for the help

If your temp guage is not moving at all, that would indicate that your temperature sending unit is bad, or unplugged.

To the front of the thermostat housing [front head area] and behind the coil pack, actually real close. It's threaded in right behind that and has an "L" shape slide on connecter.
