Are there any threads with detailed instructions on how to install new Tstat? Can't seem to find any. Any help is appreciated. I can turn a wrench, but I'm not a mechanic!

Could be Specialty Green or Specialty Orange. You'll need to know before you get a jug from the dealer. If you lose little enough coolant, you could use an aftermarket brand that meets these specs :
Green:
VC-10-A2 (US)•CVC-10-A (Canada) /WSS-M97B55-A
Orange:
VC-3-B (US) •CVC-3-B (Canada) / WSS-M97B44-D

Topping off with distilled water is also an option if only a couple of ounces are needed.

Replaced my MC Specialty Green Antifreeze this weekend. Did the thermostat at the same time.

Thought I'd share this little trick: It seemed like I only got about 1.5 gallons out from the petcock with the front wheels on 10" raceramps. So, Once I had the thermostat removed from the housing I put the cap back on the de-gassing bottle and a rag into the themostat housing (hose side). Then using another rag as a gasket I used my 18v leaf blower to force air into the thermostat opening to the engine. After about 2 minutes, I forced out another 1/2 gallon. I thought others might find that a useful "hack".

Including the degassing bottle, I was able to add back 2 gallons. It seemed no burping/air purging was necessary. I thought I would need more than 1 gallon diluted with distilled water, but ended up with an extra unopened gallon.
