I was on the freeway coming home, and I wanted to get into the lane next to me since the car in front of me was going dog slow. So anyway, I get my change, give the car a little gas, rpms fly up to 6k, and the car does nothing. Release the gas, do it again, and it was fine. Umm....don't tell me it's the first sign, but then again, I just went over to 158k today on the OG one. Could also be that things are just not working right with my bad mounts. Engine jumped today going over a bump. Yup, heard it against my hood.

fluid pressures could have been in a "dead spot" and thrown off the trans and it didnt know whether to upshift or downshift. any history on the trans ?

Original trans, still works as good as the day it was bought at 25k. Good solid upshifts and downshifts. This was the first time I recall it ever doing this (my mind has known to be wrong at times).

Well, it certainly isn't good to have the motor bouncing around, have you replaced your mounts? How old is the fluid in the ATX?

Fluid is less than 5k old, and still nice and bright red, mounts haven't been replaced yet (still waiting to get paid). I just went out for some "spirited" driving and got the tranny nice and warm. Did everything just like it should. I think DHMag is right, it just hit a dead spot. Oh, and that power steering hose definitely needs to be replaced. I'm dumping fluid in there like every 5 days.

check your codes. you never know what will be there...there are a few sensors for the tranny

Did that first and came up with my two usual ones: 139 and 225. Nothing with a 6 in front of it.
