I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Joe and Nick for helping me get my 91 Minus back together. It's running great and I'm getting ready to take it to the AC recharge guy, not that we need AC in Phoenix.

I still need to make a couple of reinforced engine mounts and adjust that heat shroud out of the way of the exhaust, and then get that ugly front bumper re-painted.

But thanks again guys, I really appreciated your help.

No problem. Any time, Tom. I'm always down for wrenchin' on a white Gen1, unless it's all rusty:biggrin:

On the motor mount subject, Iv'e managed to break the prototype front mount already. The reinforced section is still good but it broke at the top where the front bolt goes thru the hole -The section with the washer welded to it. I think I also need wheel bearings pretty bad too. Are they easy?

Is it time to call another meet yet?:hdance:

Go with R406. R12 compatible...no "changeover " needed.

No problem Tom, glad to help. Glad nothing broke too. ;)

Nick, do you need rotors and wheel bearings? (And tires) :nut:
I think Eric did his wheel bearings on the pumpkin. I believe you just take the spindle out and press out the old bearing and press the new one in.

Haha, Mike thats funny stuff. I think you need some nitrous though. :naughty: Cams would be pretty sweet too, but both would be perfect. Although you are the fastest gen. 1 in AZ SHO CLUB. Who knows maybe in the fall when we go I can take mine up for one last dance.

I didn't know that the Bananna man did his entire dance!

I guess we need to redesign the Dooleyville mounts. I say we use all of the ideas on the same mount. :oogle: :)

I bought a rotary broach today and started on my new reinforced front. I guess we should weld in a bigger washer. I'll pull an AC mounting bracket off one of my 3.0's and use it as a jig.

I'll be using R-134.

who me?

throwin' missles up here already and its not even race day yet.

Sorry Mike, couldn't resist ;) As far as race day goes, I will be glad to accomodate you in the 90. I think it's kinda fast :naughty:

Joe, yeah I neen bearings. I was hanging out the window and stopping hard to watch the wheels...yeah, I need bearings. IIRC, It didn't take Eric very long to do the Pumkin's.

Tom, do we have the technology to rebuild my front mount?

Nick,

Technology? We don't need no stinking technology! We'll just fab up a new, bigger-re-inforced one. I starting an assembly line on these.
