BFCF3DEB 7AAB 40BB B795 34C01A2D8D48 I am very pleased to announce that I am now sponsored by Xtreme-DI! Uwe Ostmann and I worked out a deal but there’s one catch...I go back to the track now....this Saturday and attempt to break into the elusive 10 second quarter mile time!!

The build plans have drastically changed and all of our fueling needs are now met! Uwe was able to overnight ship me his new Xtreme-DI 50%+ Injectors and is letting me swap out my XDI35 for the new EVO HPFP!! The injectors are in and EVO HPFP installed!!

An installation video is now coming soon!! And just in case you’re wondering...I am not a mechanic...so this is very doable and you’ll get to see how it’s done. I couldn’t have done the install without help from @Jordan_R and @Ecoboost_xsport!

Yesterday’s unboxing video...install video footage is complete just need to edit it.

OUTSTANDING!

1st of anything I did upon waking up just now, was to read this post.

XDI's definitely providing THE SOLUTION(s) to address the known fueling issues for this platform when goofs like us (& there's a growing number of "us") turn up the wick on these EB's.

Very excited for you!

Thanks Mike!! It’s like a domino effect too...watching what you do and Jordan, along with everyone else keeps the constant pressure there to try and be better....constantly!! Taking a chunk of inspiration from everyone!

Update: Track was closed so I am currently pursuing the fastest street Ecoboost SHO Dragy. The track had 2 inches of snow Friday so they said they wouldn’t be able to prep the track in time for Saturday that was calling for 43 and Sunny. I searched other tracks near me and all were closed in Maine and New York. I did find Island Dragway in New Jersey closest to me that’s still open. Although I have found tuning is still not 100%. It’s still a work in progress.

I did run the car full send on the street and it stopped pulling after the 1/8 that I trapped 100 mph. It ran 11.34@119. I tried again and it was even worse...It was not happy and I let off and coasted to an 11.7.

Here is the Injector install video I put together. I didn’t realize my background noise was as loud as it is. I apologize in advance for that!

The tracks are just opening here and getting busy, then shut down again because of Covid.

Mine got around restrictions by not allowing spectators, just “crew” members. But, closed now for the season.

Yeah with Covid and snow coming I’m just resigned to going full street mode and hoping I can shame my track time on the street.

Update: Tuning is still not complete. The car doesn’t want to start, it takes 3-5 tries in a row of cranking then it starts. I asked Uwe about this, he asked if I changed fuel...I did. I went from E30 to E40...so that’s not it. He recommended raising crank fuel pressure. It worked now it starts right up.

I have one fast street pass on Brads tune but it stopped pulling after 100mph. That was before the newest revision where crank fuel pressure has been increased. So now it starts right up no problem. Brads consensus was he shouldn’t have to add crank fuel pressure. So there’s a concern about low rpm/throttle fuel delivery. He said some ppl say large injectors aren’t streetable bc of the low rpm/part throttle areas. So far that is not confirmed as the case but now we will check that out more. I’m seeing a dip in fuel pressure on initial WOT. I’ve seen it range from 1200-1700. Now I didn’t see any rail pressure dips with the stock injectors and XDI35/DW300C. He’s explained for one on the 10-12 some aspects of tuning are limited with the HPFP. And more rail pressure is a way to extend the OEM injectors as far as getting the Peformance you need...but with such large injectors, at minimal pressure they’re still flowing twice as much so a drop in pressure isn’t really a big deal...although it is less than ideal.

I tried to do a log last night for Ortiz but throttle cut to 18% at the same time torque source 15 came on. I had trouble starting the car with Brad and Ortiz, and rail pressure dips with both although Ortiz rail pressure looked better. Both have raised crank fuel pressure.

So I’m still trying to make an attempt on the street. I won’t be happy until the car is running great and pulls all the way through ....then it will be whatever it will be. 10 or not it’ll be the fastest street Dragy....actually the pull I already did with it not pulling after 100 already is the fastest street dragy but I’m waiting to reveal the tests once I can feel that it’s 100%.

I’ve got big plans for the SHO, it’s now paid off and I’m about to pull the motor. I just want to get tuning of the new fuel upgrades sorted and tested first, then I will pull the motor. Only to find..maybe it’s already built lmfao!!!!!!!!
