Taurus struts

When I went over a curb one of my koni's went through the stock strut housing, but the koni still looks good. I need a replacement strut as a casing. I keep hearing they are the same as regular taurus struts which makes sense but Ford parts network has them listed as different parts numbers for different years. I was wondering if there are any sizes or part numbers to avoid. I think I heard some are longer than the SHO's?

There are tons of junked tauruses out here but not 92 and above ones for some reason. Is there any year that would be best for these? I don't wanna pull the wrong size.
