Tail lights

Hey guys, first post here, first foray in to the SHO forum world, too.

I got a 2012 SHO about a year ago and I've been really happy so far, for the most part. Unfortunately, the crappy chrome trim around the tail lights has started to peel off. I was told by my body worker guy that the SHOs are "known" for that. Is that true? Has it happened to you guys? If so, what have you done to fix it?

Yes, peeling taillights are a common problem, usually "solved" by:
a) Plastidip
b) polishing off the chrome then painting the taillight
c) replacing SHO taillights with SEL taillights (no chrome)

Sorry for the poor photo. I removed the chrome and had a shop paint the trim body color.
