Hey you guys & gals
I have 93 ATX with 141k miles. I ran codes from Autozone the other day, I have 2 bad O2 sensors and the EGR valve is detected as not opening. How may o2 sensors do the SHO's have total? I know I have to get those fixed.Which should I do 1st , funds are limited right now( recent divorce)
Also as I cruise back and forth to work I notice the tach needle moves around a little , especially under a light load maybr +/- 100 RPM's.
Old school sez something in the ignition, usually plugs , wires. I replaced those last year. What does new technology say to look for. Any help is appreciated.

What are the codes? It is rare for both (two) O2 sensors to both fail coincidentally. There is a chance that the cause is actually an engine control problem. Post the codes and you will tap into a great deal of SHO experience right here.

The CE light has been on for a while, even after my 60k service was done(june 2002). I had the O2 sensors repalced, the EGR cleaned, I asked that while the intake was off to clean that also. I don't think it was done. I'll have to go back to Auto Zone and redo the code check. I can't find the print out. I do remenber the papers saying something to the effect of left/ right sensors were bad. I don't remember the exact wording. I aslo check the front pug wells and found no oil inthem. I can't get my big hands to the rear one. Do you or anyone else know of a good SHO people/ mechanic in NC. I'm about 100 miles from Raleigh, Charlotte and Greensboro.

Please click on the links at the bottom of my signature block and learn to read the codes yourself. It is a simple, free and essential diagnostic tool.
