Will anything out of the norm have to be done when switching from regular ATF to GM Sychromesh? Or will draining the old ATF fluid and refilling with GM's fluid be enough?

easily?... you can get it very easily at any GM dealership.... just very costly probably....

penzoil makes a synchromesh fluid as well...i don't know which parts stores may carry it...i know O'Reilly does...my store keeps it in stock... and you should be able to order some through the net though shipping on chemicals tends to be a little ridiculous...

Its about $10 a quart which from what I have seen is about the same for Redline fluid, but I read so many good things about the GM fluid that I will give it a try.
