My struts are starting to go bad, and now I'm looking for replacements. Being I buy anything, I wanted to know if this is all I need to replace them:

I was going with KYB struts, strut mounts, and eibach springs. Would this be all I need to change my suspension? Would I be able to get the alignment correct with stock control arms, etc. or do I need to upgrade those as well?

Assuming you are talking about the rear control arms these may be needed. Depends on what kind of alignment specs you are looking for. The front will probably be difficult to get in to spec. Again depends on the spec.

Subscribing, since i'm curious about the KYB/Eibach setup on the gen III, since i heard it feels like shit on the gen II...

Here's what I tell my guys to do. With the caster it is about a full degree past those specs and I tell them to leave it be.

Front

Camber - 0.9 -1.2
Caster +4.0 +4.5
Toe In -0.06 -0.06

Rear

Camber -1.5 -1.5
Toe In +0.13 +0.13

so, what would I ultimately need to replace my suspension? I would like to get only the necessary parts to upgrade my suspension.

So I'm to assume that the KYB/Eibach combo for the gen III isn't as harsh as it's been said to be on the gen I/II?

The unfortunate fact is the Eibachs are not quite up to the job. This requires a lot of strut to keep things working well.

I personally have no experience with the KYBs.

So Chris's (Mr. A) suggestion of Eibachs with OEM gen IV struts is wrong?

The Eibachs over time seem to settle down a bit lower than what they call for. Of course, they aren't listed for the 96-99 SHOs though either. A car I slapped some on has now came down over the tires more for a nicer, lowered look but haven't heard how it rides now. My own SHO had the Roush Racing springs with new SARCs and it rode fine and looked awesome to boot as well. Now the idea of doing the 18" wheels made for a terrible ride I must add.

I would not say it is wrong as there is no perfect setup for the G3 SHO. The G3 OEM springs work great with the Ford struts. Go to a shorter spring that isn't designed for the load of the V8 and there are issues.
