I had some exhaust noise going on that I had fixed last week.
Both mufflers were rusted at the connection and rattling.
While it was in the air, I noticed the rear link bushing(s) were gone.
The front links were only marginally better, but still loose with the bolts tight.
front wheel bearing showed much wear as did the rear struts, which were leaked out.
I have the springy sound turning the wheel both ways, so I got new strut bearings for the front.
Hopefully this will be it for a while, anything to adress while I have it all broke apart?

Check your tension strut bushings. They are probably worn out, too.

Got the front done, took an entire night to complete each side.
The retainer clip for the wheel bearing gave me trouble getting it out on the drivers side.
The only snag on the pass side was the strut did not want to go back in the where it holds on the bottom knuckle.
After several heated attempts, We finally got it back together.
Still have to do the rear struts and rear sway links.
Oh yeah, still have to do the top 60K and get some tunes in this thing!
Huge improvement on handling and driving.

Nice.

The tension struts are the rods that connect the bottom of the spindle to the subframe at the front and the body at the rear. The rear ones are straight and the front ones have a bend in them. Hope that helps...

I forgot to mention the lower ball joint on the passenger side got damaged in the process.
The rubber boot that holds the grease in, got tore up.
Now it seems I'll need a lower control arm, with a new ball joint.
The subframe bushings were done under recall in 2005 .
Tension struts seem ok. Still have the springy sound turning the steering wheel though.

that noise is probably your balljoints, 8 to 9 times out of 10 thats what it is, I have seen this cause by outer tie rod ends as well on some of the newer Chrysler/Dodge fwd sedans

you can see if your balljoints have a lot of up and down play by jacking the car up by the suspension, like two equally level jackstands supporting the a-arms, and then pry up on the wheel, if it moves around, those are getting bad.... of course the noise could still happen without a lot of play

have someone do the steering while you sit under it and listen for that noise, but u gotta have weight on the tires, maybe u can tell if its a ball joint or a tie rod...

Got the rear struts and sway links done late last week.
Made a huge improvement on handling and the noise level is much improved too.
