Ok the money is in the bank and it is time to rebuild the suspension on my 93 mtx. I am definitely going with tokico due to ease of installation over koni. I would like recommendations on the use of eibach vs intrax springs, but more importantly I want to replace all the neccessary suspension components at once. What bearings, bushings, etc are needed? I am already running baer claw brakes, ipt sway bars, strut tower braces, and subframe connectors.

I would replace the lower control arms (new ball joint), new tension strut bushings front and rear, new outer tie rod ends (inspect the inners and replace if needed), and new strut mounts to go with the springs and struts. Perhaps new front wheel bearings if you want to go all out.

Perhaps for the rear, adjustable lateral control arms and an H-brace.

New or upgraded SFBs if yours are still stock and are old. Check the motor mounts and replace if needed.

As usual the ford dealer has no idea what parts are necessary to rebuild the suspension. I anyone can give me any part numbers for the suspension components necessary it would help a great deal. strut mounts, cups, bearings, bushings etc.

Thanks,
David

Check out this document in the FAQs: http://www.shotimes.com/php-bin/images/trwsuspension.jpg

It lists TRW numbers for most items. My personal preference is for Moog chassis components, but this can get you started in seeing what parts are where.

You can look up Moog numbers via their online site. www.rockauto.com appears to have the best pricing on Moog parts that I have found.

Thanks. That trw diagram is the best I've seen as far as what parts are needed. After reading a bit it seems like the police front strut mounts and bearings are the way to go. I will probably order from sho nut for these. Although it doesn't look like he has the rear mounts available. Now I just need to decide on stock rubber subframe bushings, or aluminum.

Not sure of the application to GEN2s, but I know most of them are cross compatible and listed at the dealer with the 92.

List is 4 years old, so some numbers may be obsolete now, but it gives you an idea of waht all is in there.
