suspension damage

as I related in "boulevard battles" lost control of car and now the front wheel is towed in.
I cant see any damage but can anyone advise as to potential damage,if any,B-4 I take to shop and get .........ed?

You've most likely bent/tweaked one of the following:


  • inner tie rod (most likely)

  • subframe alignment (not uncommon)

Less likely, but others have posted in the past:

  • lower control arm (infrequently occurs)

  • front strut tension rod (not likely)

  • outer tie rod (least likely, inner usually gives first)

  • structural damage to unibody (accidents where you hit or are hit by another vehicle, or side-slide into a curb)

What did you hit?

How is the steering wheel alignment?

Is the toe-in condition on the side that hit, or the opposite side?

Any photos linked in the other thread?

wheel is tucked in just couple of degrees and the steering wheel pulls just a tad to the left.the impact was on the drivers side.
