When my '91 SHO was in the shop getting the clutch replaced the mechanics found that all the subframe bushings are almost totally shot and eaten away the bolt that holds them in is the only thing left in between the bushing and the subframe. Should i be careful driving? And does anyone have any GenIII rear subframe bushings i am not to sure about those alum. ones. Thanks.

you can use either the gen 3 bushings or the aluminum ones. I finnaly got my aluminum ones installed (thanks mark) and I only notice positives. I feel no added vibration, and the steering response is crazy. I just sold my last set of aluminum ones off on ebay otherwise I'd offer you a set. They are worth it, and I don't see how anything that isn't solid can compare.

Yeah aluminum does sound good but u never know what kind of vibrations i will get from a 12 year old car. Still i dont know if i should be careful about driving it to much with those bad bushings.

Be very careful driving like that, it can cause all sorts of dangerous problems. No matter what you do, get them fixed, even if you have to resort to stock one!

If you don't want Aluminum's because of any feedback or vibration issues go with Gen III's. They are much better in design than new originals and as far as I know have no negative outcomes. Your only other option is police sfb's which I'm told are almost the same as stock but more expensive.
