So, short story long…
I have a 2017, and it always kind of bothered me that this year apparently doesn’t display the temp gauge on the dash cluster, and there’s no menu option to turn it on. This morning on the way to work, I looked down and realized it was suddenly there.

My first thought was shit, maybe that comes on if it starts running a little hot. Hooked up the live wire, and everything looked like it should temp wise. M

The tune is the only thing I can think of as to what would make it suddenly appear (kind of like how what gear I’m in is always displayed now) but I’ve had the tune a few weeks, and this is the first time I’ve seen it since owning the car. Delayed reaction maybe? Haha

Thoughts?

So you didnt know you can go up and down from your rpm screen? Rpm and gas. Rpm, gas and temp. Miles to E and vertical rpm if enabled. Awd gauge.
Well that’s embarrassing haha. I had no idea. I even asked a ford tech about it when I took it in to have all the fluids changed after I bought it. He told me it just wasn’t on those model years and that “an indicator” would come on if it overheated. Now I know

Nice! I’ve been reaching in my pocket fumbling with the fob this whole time. Ya know, like an idiot haha. Looks like neither the tech, nor the salesman was that familiar with the SHO.

Anything else? I did figure out the rolling down the windows remotely trick a while ago, but now I’m wondering what else this vehicle has that I’ve been oblivious to

Is your car a PP? if you push the TC botton once it will turn off TC but still has advanced track on. If you push the TC button twice fast it will turn off all TC and AT and put the all TC basically off.

Unfortunately, no PP
You can still turn TC off in the left screen settings. Advance trac stays on though with a non pp unless you get the front spinning real good then it seems to turn off and its easier to do burnouts until you turn the car off.

It’s definitely an improvement having just the TC off for spirited driving, but it would be nice to be able to disable the whole system entirely when desired. I’ve been considering running some wires from the fuse box through the firewall and installing a toggle switch by the steering wheel. I could always pull the fuse I guess, but it would be nice to be able to just switch it off/on real fast when it’s time to hurt an r/t drivers feelings

There is a fuse when pulled that makes the abs not work. Stability and tc are ran by abs sensors. It works, i use it in autocross. But the dash yells at you all the time. A pp model cant fully disable stability either. It just numbs it alot. When pp cars at pitt race fall off the track into the grass the advance trac light comes on. So its smart to be out of your way but still trys to work when your sliding off the track. People on here dont race their gen 4s. They like their 12 seconds of “racing”, or even less time. Like it takes me longer to figure out how to spell a 5 letter word then they spend “racing”.

The first thing I do when I get a car is go thru all the menus and push all the buttons and see what they do. I'm still learning on the S550, that thing has way more than I realized. Same thing with the Audi, menus out the ***** lol.

Took me several days to find out that there's a button that makes a rear window sun screen pop up.

Here's another one with the fob in your pocket you don't have to hit the unlock button just put your hand in the door handle and it automatically unlock. The other one is if you punch in the key code to unlock the door and hit number five right after the trunk will open number four will unlock all the doors
