Been thinking all this time my subframe bushings are bad. Just took the drivers rear lower off & its not cracked or rotted... Upper looks ok, but did not remove it. I have been tightening the bolt every few days & after I do its a lot better, but doesnt last. Does it maybe just need some loc-tite? Or are the bushings just decieving?

Thanks

Don't put loctite on it. It is the front ones that will go bad. The rears should only be torqued to 75 lb/ft or so.

So its my front ones? Ford dealer said they were more common. Haven't looked at the fronts yet.. But the clunk/pop comes from right under my feet where the rears are...

It could be the rear ones. How many miles? Personally I have the solid aluminum ones and they will last almost forever.

Those with sensitive butts don't like them though.

Depends on your local road conditions and other suspension mods. The 24mm front sway bar, FSTB, aluminum bushings, and 200 year old cobblestone roads are not a good combination no matter who you are.

i ended up with ASFB's, but drove with a set of "rears" on the front for a short time.
it gives a firmer feel without going all the way to aluminum.
won't last as long as aluminum, but works much better (IMHO) than the stock fronts that will need to be changed again & again.
