Hi, my subframe bolts just spin. How do you remove them and once out how do you keep the nut? in the subframe from turning when tighting. Thanks, plumber

pry the subrame down to apply pressure on the bushings while having the gun on them.

has the 'recall' been done at the rear? Pull the carpet on pass side to see, there should be a 3" hole & plug. There are 2 metal tabs in the frame rail sticking up that stop the plate nut from spinning. The rear can only be accessed from holes drilled in the floor. There are access holes on the front on the inside of the rails but there are things in the way. Never push 'up' while removing the SF bolts!

Most likely, the tabs designed to hold the plate nut have sheared off. Since you need to drill the 2.5 inch hole in the floor, do that first; so you can Pblaster the platenut and grab it with a large pliers.

The other way is even better. Cut the head off of the subframe bolt with a sawz-all and pull the nut and stub out through the floor.
