Stuff to Do

The wife and I are coming back to town next weekend (14th-16th), and we always do the same stuff. Just wondered if any of you guys have been to Second City; if so, how was it?

Our typical weekend includes a drink at the Signature Room on the 95th at the JHC, maybe a trip to Big Bar at the Hyatt, pizza at some point, etc. I looked up reviews on the ghost tour and it looks lame. We've been to Millenium Park (I can't skate worth a crap). We haven't done the Adler Planetarium or the Shedd Aquarium (but lots of towns have an aquarium). Nothing much going on at the pier in the winter usually; so I'm trying to think of something fun to do that's not outrageously expensive. I wouldn't mind hitting up a good blues bar while we're there.

Any ideas?

My son Chris (IT_Purrrs) spent the last week in Chicago & was at Second City last night. I will ask him when he gets home tomorrow!

First off a warning, Bears Playoff game will be at noon on Sunday the 16th so stay clear of Soldier Field. Second City is usually good, there was a comedy olympics thing and a play about Rod Blagovich that was considered good.
Buddy Guy plays his own bar "Legends" the whole month, IF you can get a ticket and get there early for a seat, or it's standing room only so show up later.
I would recomend checking the "Illinois Entertainer" on line, look on the calender for those nights and see if anything grabs ya. Fitzgeralds in Oak Park usually has someone good. Have you done Ed Debevics, Blue man Group , Also Google Hot Dougs if ya like GOOD sausage and fries cooked in goose fat on Sat.
Call me if ya want, I keep to the burbs mostly so "Blues Bar" in Mt. Prospect is my blues fix.

Snow in the forecast for Sat. The wife wants to go to Weber Grill b/c I always insist on Wildfire, but since I got to go there this year for work on the expense account; we'll try Weber instead. Downtown Uno is a must for her also. Haven't decided on what else to do though. Just have a relaxing weekend mainly. Heh heh...if I weren't coming up with the wife, I'd meet up with all you SHO guys.

We have a Ruth's Chris here . Gene & Georgetti or Gibsons? lol...too expensive though.
