okay, there is def not a stuck valve. All valves look good. I'm putting the vc and intake back on now. Will try another DIS as soon as I have the top end back on.

Well I said they seemed okay because while the car was running, I pulled each plug wire off of the coil pack and they were all sparking as I pulled them off.
Jeff

this is a very misleading way to think, and quite honestly ive been guilty of it plenty of times.

a weak spark can look perfect in calm air, but as soon as said spark is trying to ignite the charge, the turbulence in the chamber blows it out like a candle.

i spent DAYS on a buddies car trying to get it to run because i saw spark when i cranked it. turned out the prob there was dirty plugs that i THOUGHT were clean.

a weak coil can screw ya the same way

Okay, I guess taking the intake/Valve Cover off may have been a good idea after all. I noticed that the center plug on the back of the engine seemed to be the one that wasn't firing....well, I also noticed that the injector port on that cylinder was the only injector port that seemed a little dirty. All the other injector ports were very shiny where the fuel is sprayed out, but this one was dirty/bronze looking. Possibly a bad injector? I want to put the intake back on, and check the coil/dis, but if I have a bad injector, I guess I should leave it off. How can I tell if the injector is not spraying, or bad?

Okay, I put the intake back on, and swapped out the DIS.....same thing. I guess I need to check out the coil pack next. I don't have one of those to swap out though. I may run to the junk yard to see if there is a sho in there that I can rob the coil out of.

Okay, even though the CEL wasn't blinking, I pulled the codes. Here is what I got.

172..Oxy sensor lean
136...Oxy sensor lean
411..
538..

Also on the cylinder balance test I got

1..3..4, and a 6

I'm guessing this means a 10, 30, 40, 60?

in other words multiple cylinders are having problems.

I'm wondering with the oxy sensor saying lean, if I do in fact have a fuel problem? Seems like it would be pig rich if there was fuel with no spark.
Thoughts now?

two of the cylenders on one bank have a problem witch is causing the other two to act up from the way it sounds it is probly the left bank (1,3) that is giving you the real issue figure out that problem and the other two cylenders will be fine (4,6)

Okay, I replaced the coil just for giggles, and nope...same problem. I think it's definantly fuel related..injector, or plugged filter etc...

The coil? half of the people of this post told you the DIS....

If you read back in the post, you'll see that I did that. maybe I didn't make it clear. I had an extra DIS, and already tried that to no avail. DIS is okay, Coil is okay, New plugs are okay. I replaced the fuel filter also. I'm checking on new plug wires now. Although the oxy sensors are reading lean? Wouldn't that mean there isn't enough fuel?
