I doubt it's crank cancer, just replace it with a crank bolt that's in decent condtion and you should be fine.

yeah, dont put any kinda aintisieze or anything on the threads. the best thing i can do inho is just tighten the **** out of it and just be super careful if you have to bust the bolt loose again

What can I use to stop this bolt ****** from seizing to the crank pully again?

anything. grease, anti-seize, oil. anything that will seal out water and slow corrosion.

you got the ****** part exactly correct, thats what sticks. as stated earlier, don't put anything on the threads.

Holy Crap I thought mine was stubborn. Seemed like nothing would get mine off. I ended up using the serp. belt to hold the pulley. I wrapped around the crank twice then went around the A/C pulley, around the Alt. and then back down to the A/C. But this time under the belt that was already there, this way the belt would tighten against itself. 1/2 breaker bar, 3 foot pipe, one hand on my nuts and a couple good pushes and POP! I almost quit when I looked down and seen how much the breaker bar was flexing but figured what the ****. I guess after what you went through mine doesnt seem so bad now.

I,m gonna have to disagree about runing the bolt in dry!!! ALWAYS use some light oil or assembly **** on all bolts.when torque specs are called out it is for a wet or oiled bolt! grease on the ****** is a great idea, thick enuff to keep the moisture out. Also malox antacid is a great anti-seize, i,ve been using it on header bolts since 1976. If ya use the cherry flavor it makes your ride smell purdy LOL
