Compress the spring and also compress the strut and or pry a little wiggle room from the knuckle? It's been a good while but every time I had to fight it. Many a bloody knuckle with suspension work for me.

I know is a B to get them out and in I used to use a wheel hub tool but man this is. Way too much.

This is where I’m at control arm is as far down as it can go.

Update ! Ordered struts for a 99. Found struts from sho source being way too tall. Installed struts from a 99 sho finished in 2 hrs
