The rears dont have a coil over set up. They are a shock and spring set up.

I’m having a local shop do mine. I have way to much crap to do. I just don’t have the time. Plus they are going align it after.

I figure that would be easier. I would rather do it myself but i don’t have the equipment plus they can align it when they’re done

I did all of the labor and then took it them align it. Spent less then $350 total. If I have the means, then I will turn the wrench.

You can rent a spring compressor tool at pretty much any auto parts place. If you are replacing springs and struts at the same time this is an incredibly simple job.
Use the compressor on the new front springs and install them on new shocks before doing anything else. Then take out the old front ones as a unit and slide the new front ones in as a unit. I did this on my 13 limited awhile back. Fronts can be done this way in under 30 minutes easy. The rears are easier since they are separate parts, or at least I think they are easier.
Granted this assumes you are comfortable using a spring compressor and working with springs under tension. I've done springs/struts a lot over the years so I have my own jaws of life type spring compressor and its a no brainer for me to do it myself. However, compressing springs is no joke, so if it makes you uncomfortable then paying a shop is the way to go.

I agree, I can swap rear springs in 30 mins from start to finish.

See what you both are forgetting is how incredibly lazy I am. Plus my right hand and elbow is still not anywhere near 100% from operation. I’ve got boxes of shit to install sitting in the garage. I just can’t really hold a wrench for a long period yet. I also have a pretty good in at a lot of garages. In my job I deal with a lot of shop owners daily. I had my coilovers installed on my tl-s and aligned for under $150.

That is an insane deal on that. If I was getting install and alignment for that price I'd never install them myself.

I hate paying it since it’s very easy to do. But I physically can’t right now. Plus I’m getting tired of looking at my 4x4 sho

I know but around here an alignment alone is $75 to $90. So if for an extra $60 I could save that time and knock out install/alignment all at once I would.
