strut types?

Ok i was wondering what a good type of strut to buy would be. My car currently has tokicos but they are completely shot and im sick of the bouncy ride. I have heard about rebuilding struts but would it even be worth it or should i get just new ones?

What kind of springs are you using with your Tokiko's? I had a 92 with Stock Springs and Tokiko Struts. The ride was pretty damn bouncy and I attribute that fully to the springs as the struts only had 4,000 Miles on them.

For what its worth, and i know people will disagree, but i have menroe sensa tracs with eibach springs, and i love them. Nice stiff ride, but still forgiving, and handles great. I have 30,000 miles on them now. No pogo.

my Eibachs are squishy. They bottom out all the time. I only weigh 160. Well, the front right bottoms out all the time; the front left doesn't have a bump stop on it but it hasn't seemed to be a problem yet. The last couple of inches on the eibachs are VERY stiff.

ive heard sensatracs and moog are a great combination, but as far as longevity and performance definatley KONI, tokico was second best but you cant get the inserts anymore trust me......koni has a great warranty too....

I just put sensatracs and moogs on my car back in Jan.

My car prob. sits a little higher than some people would prefer, but there def. is no annoying bouncing. More rigid and corners better than stock.

I saw the rears on partsamerica.com for 56 each. They dont list the fronts for some reason, but i would think they would be about the same.

I also bought a set of quickstruts last year and man is the ride awesome with these. Except for a pair of frozen pinch bolts, installation ended up being a breeze since these are drop in replacements. I picked up a set of all 4 for just under $400 after a buy-3-get-1-free rebate. I haven't seen that promotion since, but I just took a quick look and it looks like its starting up again!

I have driven a SHO with Monroe's, Tokico's and Koni's. Each one also had Eibach Springs. For comfort, the Monroe's were great, the Tokicos were pretty good. BUT, the Koni's were awesome, because they set up nicely for a good solid ride, but when the wife gets in, it is not too bad of a ride for her. They are expensive, no doubt but worth their weight in Gold.

I ran probably around 60K on Koni's with my 90, blowing out the front right twice, in hard turns.

I have almost 75K on my current set with the Eibach's, and have had no issues with them.

i also got quickstruts from rock auto not to long ago but only in the rear. the ride is so much better, when i slam the gas now i just get pushed into the seat were before the ass end dropped and it didnt feel like it was pulling as hard kinda hard to explain. but any strut is gonna feel better than OE with 110k miles. im gonna be getting the front quickstruts soon.
