I need a bolt that will work for me asap. It's the bolt that connects the strut to the ball joint. The one that was in the '95 stock was bent when I pulled it out and rusted to crap. I know it's hardened steel, but will something else work in its place? The guy at Carquest said best bet would be a dealer or the junkyard but I really don't feel like going to the junkyard for that bolt, it's a PITA to get out, and I know if I go to the dealer I'll be waiting for about a week and pay out the ***** for one. Anyone know what bolt will work for this? Thanks.

If it is the bolt that clamps the strut into the spindle, it is a "strut pinch bolt" and can be bought either from Fred (above post) or Josh at SHO Nut performance quickly. Some people drill this out and put a hardened through bolt in place (standard bolt/nut combo) but do your homework before attempting this. If it is the pinch bolt that couples the spindle to the ball joint, the same applies but these are much easier to come by (and already a through bolt).

One last comment - I would not replace either with a used bolt.....they have a tendency to snap and you will never forgive yourself.....
