Strut housing questions.

Whats different from 2000-2007 ford taurus strut housings from the 89-95? I know the perch will he different but what about the outside diameter of the strut housing?

Front or rear? Rears are the same. Fronts, the housing will fit in a Gen 1/2 knuckle.

This is the thing. I found coilover sleeves for 2000-2007 taurus's. I want to know if i can make those sleeves fit on my gen1/2 housings with Koni's.

The tab for the sway bar is turned 90° so you will have to use 3rd/4th gen end links.

I have been waiting to be able to afford the ground control route but these are half price on ebay. If someone can tell me that the sleeves will have thw same diameter as the gen1/2 housings I might consider these.

I have never seen them offered before. I would be very worried that they do not list a brand. They look like they are listing the same kit for every car. It may be a generic kit that they say will fit any car out there.

If they worked i would use nothing but the sleeves. I would change out the springs for eibachs.

They look like the cheap chinese turbo kits that fit every possible car. I am not sure if they would even fit.

Wow, got a real fast answer. He said the kit is vehicle specific. Does fit 2000-2007 ford taurus's. He also said the spring rates are 350f 325r. I might make a gamble a little later. I think i can make these work.

Be careful of the actual strut diameter above the knuckle, some have a flair to them - the strut above the knuckle is larger in diameter. That can interfere with some coilover sleeves.

Ok he said he believes the inside diameter of the sleeve is 2.5" so whats the OD of a gen1,2,3,4 housing?
