I had finally got all my valves in spec for my 3.2 swap when I took everything back apart to put some assembly **** on it. When I was torqued down the second to last bolt on one of the camshaft caps I felt it strip. You have no idea how ****** I was. I tried to run a tap through it but it was too mangled. I was hoping to get some options for people. I was looking for a helicoil but the local places didn't have a m7 x 1. They all only seemed to have m6's and m8's. Does anyone know where I can get one that size? I was also thinking aobut drilling and tapping it out to a bigger size but I don't really want to if I don't have to and I REALLY don't want to get a new head, gasket, reshim etc. Any help or advice from you guys would be really appreciated. You have no clue how much this ruined my day. :help:

Most bolt supply stores will have that helicoil kit. it does get pricy and your best bet is to do a search on the internet. Machine shops may also have the helicoils.

I found your post and was able to find the kit on ebay for under 25 bucks! I was looking at the helacoil one and it was like 75. I guess anything is cheaper than buying a whole new head.
