Sounds like it could be warped rotors if its happening when under braking. It will fix it if you replace the ones that are warped.

Don't forget your front strut-rod bushings. If it still does it after turning or replacing your rotors, do these next.

Commonly when you get vibration at high speed means you have an off balance wheel. If you rotate them, you could have vibration elsewhere. I would get them balanced.

Check your inner and outter tie rods, as they can cause the same problems you describe.

I read about the steering wheel shaking!

But yeah, I bought a set of new tires because the vibration I was experiencing and it turned out to be loose lug nuts, with one snapping off! :nut:

Where is the Strut rod bushings? iam new to working on suspenshion LOL........Thanks

Sorry about taking forever to get back on this board...

Strut Rods locate the lower control arms (LCA) and keep them from shifting fore/aft. They are connected to the subframe in the front. If the bushings are shot in the LCA, you will get a vibration while braking, even with balanced tires and turned rotors.

What he said!

I had the same problem, thought it was a warped rotor. So I replaced the front rotors/pads, yet the problem wouldn't go away...got worse, even, over time. I jacked the car up to change to my winter tires a couple of weeks ago and I discovered not one, but two failing ball joints. And the problem is completely gone, not to mention that it took care of the faint front end clunk. I'd check that first...since it's pretty easy.

Now, while I had mine in the air last week... I did the 12 o'clock and 6 check for the ball joint all was fine. When I did 3 & 9 I had a little bit of play. I couldn't see anywhere it could be coming from though... Was this way on both sides.
