I need some help removing my cam shaft position sensor. can anyone suppy pictures?

This is my 1st SHO and i dont want to mess it up wing-ing it.

this one is really easy. you remove the 2 small bolts holding on the cam sensor (5.5 mm, iirc) and remove the sensor from the head. I usually do that prior to removing the connector, to avoid having to dig the sensor out from under the car after I drop it.....

well i hate to admit but ive looked for it and i cant find it. where is it? i know its on the head, but i dont know where....

It's on the end of the camshaft nearest the firewall - passenger side of the car.

Man! that ***** is gunna be hard to get at... I say fugeddaboudit, you can prolly get 100~200 for it at the scrap yard.

On another note I'm pretty sure you can cut an access hole in the firewall, change out the heatercore and change out the CPS while yur in there.:munch:

Update. i just got done. not too bad. it was covered in all sorts of oil and dirt. once i moved the power steering resivior i was able to see.

no change in the tachometer and performance to the car. what im saying is, it still runs like shit.

could the MAF do this? what about the o2 sensors????
