whenever i turn sharp and slow, my left front wheel will stick, or lock-up if you will. i was told the ball joint was bad on the left, and teh right was replaced. if i were to redo the entire front end, would the steering from a regular taurus fit correctly? because as soon as i say SHO the parts stores eyes light up.
thanks

When you say stick, do you mean when turning, or the tire rotation actually feels like it sticks?

If it is tire movement It could be ball joints or endlinks.

If it is tire rotation, it is CV Joint, or more probably the Wheel Bearing.

With your more detailed description I would say it is NOT the wheel bearing or CV joint unless you hear a constant clicking noise.

More than likely it is your tie rods or your steering rack. (might be ball joint, but I doubt it sense you did not mention clunking noises or problems with bumps)

I would jack up that end and remove the tire and take a look. Try pulling on the end link and see if it slides back and fourth a lot. Also look for torn boots and anything else that might look out of place/worn.

Jack up that corner of the car and give the wheel the old 3 & 9 treatment followed by the noon and 6 shake. If you have motion of the wheel in either axis, we'll be better able to determine what the problem is.
