status on wishoc

not trying to open up anytihng just wondering whats everyones opinion on wishoc

so far weve built what was once a dead car club. we've had several meets ive been part of 2 of them. im just curious whats going to happen from here forward.

some of u know im moving in june sometime to minoqua but id like to get together with everybody one last time.we've sugested something about going to the dells i'd like to do that around the end of MAY OR EARLY JUNE

if not i'd like to host a meet at my house here in kenosha area, let me know some of your guys thoughts. i look forward to the new wishoc and hope we can have some fun before i go thx guys and girls

Well I see the section of SHOforum moving just as it was. I think it picked up pace since I joined a few years ago, although that isn't saying much as it was rather dead at that point. But...

I would like to see meets continue, possibly get together and enter a few car shows, and just have fun. We're pretty fortunate to have the majority of our active members in WI relatively close to one another, which we should really take advantage of.

We have brought this club back to life and i hope it can stay clean and we can all sho respect for everyone, with that said i look forward to any meets and i always try to attend the ones i can make it to, Adam has been very grateful to host us many of times and i hope more to come but if some others are willing to host i know it would help out allot

well mike, FWIW there seemed to be a few "wisconsin wide" meets last summer, im not sure if you were around, or saw, but they were pretty universal, and people came from all over.... we drove along the kettle morraine scenic route and also there was a meet in LA-X. most of that was set up by Andy, the former president... or is he still the prez? anyway he doesnt have a SHO anymore, so it will be up to other people to come up with that stuff...

like joe said, Adam has been wonderful to the community for offering his house for the tech meetings... i have had ideas in the past for meetings for the club, except last summer my SHO was down for tranny repair so not much of that actually happened (yeah the wholesummer, some remember the story... so im not repeating it)

so anyway, hopefully some of the ideas come to the surface... the dells is not a bad idea... im not sure what you have planned for the dells, but it tends to be quite expensive spending time there...

in the past i had a drive-in planned or atleast thought of... there is one drive-in at hwy 18 in i think jefferson... ill have to look it up... but anyway most of the meets will probably be a drive for you, but they probably wont all be in brookfield like they have been. once summer picks up, they tend to go abroad... you are also notorious for finding any SHO owner within your area and im sure will meet some other SHOOwners that you can meet up with up where you will be living...

well i had a guy from ill here with his 90 already it needs work were doing it this weekend but before i go i deff want to do somethin before the end of this month. I dont mind a small drive to a meet just want to get some stuff going soon its like 60 everyday and sunny we need to get out more lol

well im out of school on the 19th, so i dont have much time to whip anything up... when EXACTLY are you leaving?

not positive but i know in june prolly before the 15 could be early july my dads selling his house in daytona beach fl

what's so hard about a few ppl meeting up on a weekend we dont need advance notice just whoever can show up

true, but some people work on the weekends and might be able to get off otherwise

Pick a date Mike and let everyone know when you can, that way people can take off of work if needed. A lot of us may have jobs on the weekends, but can possibly take off if given enough notice.

there's also the Kiltie in Occon. for a drive-in, if that's an option...
they've got some attractive women working there... and good food.... cash only tho =(

as for the dells - my opinion is it might work, the only thing is i'm sure SOMEONE is going to have a problem on their car that's going to have to get fixed... and i'm sure the Kalahari would NOT support a tech meet lol

anyway... there's also campgrounds for the option of going cheap
and i MAY be able to hook us up with some rooms in Sauk City for relatively cheap... my Gma is friends with the hotel owner...
(Sauk City's about 30 minutes away and has MANY bars AND the original Culver's)
