I just did the 200,000 mile oil change on my 2010, and I sent a sample to Blackstone, i'll try to remember to post the results when they come in, but I digress, yesterday some one cut me off hard, I was full on the breaks all it could muster and I heard what sounded like an electronic chime/beep/squeak from under the dash. My 2010 does not have the radar collision alert system. Has anybody else heard this? I've been able to recreate the noise with hard braking on some back roads around the house here. I've had what i feel is a spongy/sinking pedal since I've owned the car, if I give the pedal a quick press and release before really coming down on the pedal, the pedal is firm and the brakes can send everything to the front of the car, so I was thinking it needed a master cylinder but now I'm wondering if it needs a booster? Anybody have any thoughts on this or do I need to load he parts cannon?
Thanks
-Brad

Booster and/or master cylinder is a good guess. If brake servicing had been done, I would have checked on air in the ABS system as well. The squeak puts the booster on top of the suspect list. If it has fluid in it, the master cylinder would also need replacing. Good time to upgrade to Gen V components :)

Will the 2013+ parts bolt on/plug in without modification? Does anyone know the difference between the BRB137 & BRB65 (these are both listed as parts for the 2013 SHO)?

There is a thread over on EBPF by metalmaster in the howto section for the full upgrade. Another thread on just pads/rotors/calipers. mrhighcaliber also upgraded p/r/c, so I am sure he can provide guidance there.

Yep, upgrade to 2013+ parts is a real good idea. I did and love the improvement. I did not do the master cylinder. 2010 brakes are horrible. Other than discarding the front dust shields, it is pretty much straight forward. I have no comment on the noise.

Congrats on the 200K miles. Makes me feel better, I only have 116,000.

Ok, I finally got a weekend free and my Father and I installed a BRB65 & BRMC236. I then discovered that the BRMC236 brake reservoir cap is different from the 2010 reservoir and my power bleeder does not fit.

My power bleeder is a Motive Products 0107 which comes with adapter 1107 for "3 locking tabs twist to lock 1/6 turn cap" which fit the 2010 reservoir and the reservoir on my 2004 NBS F150. According to Motive Products page, some Ford's with "3 locking tabs twist to lock 1/6 turn cap" may need to use the GM adapter 1108. Does anyone have a Motive Products bleeder and can confirm the 1108 fits the 2013+ reservoir?

We bled the system the old fashioned way and then we did the ABS module power bleed, and the brakes still don't engage until the pedal is about halfway to the floor, I'm really hoping It just needs more bleeding.
