car is almost at 60k miles so I’m going change the spark plugs was wondering what kind i should use. I heard the sp542 are better over the stock ones. I want to be able to run e85 in the future also

If it has been that long since they have been replaced, be prepared for every coil pack to be stuck to the plug and it to be a pain in the butt to get them out. Have some dielectric grease to put on when you reinstall.

Thanks, SM105K. As soon as they arrive, I'll gap them at the low end and install. It's been years since I actually changed the plugs in any vehicle, so it should be an adventure!
Thanks to others for the hints about the coils probably not willingly coming off the plugs. Mine have been in place for 92K (Most likely original equipment since I bought it as a certified pre-owned, with the previous "owner" being a Ford employee in Michigan). Nice to know in advance they may take a little extra effort.

Well my red clips ,all of them when I changed the s/p they crumble on my fingers !!! Is there another way to secure them ?

You can try searching for Molex p/n 336110001 - that is just the clip.

Mouser or Digikey usually have such parts in stock.

The red clip isn't necessary for use, it's just the "I'm critical to engine performance, are you sure you want to remove me?" identifier.

That is the connector with clip. Still not bad for 2.28. You could take out the clip and reuse it for yours (hopefully). This p/n comes off a nonEB 3.5 application, so IDK if the clip is any different.
