Are my middle age eyes playing tricks on me ?
Or have any other new 2010 owner seen waves through the glass ?

Like a mirage or heat rising off blacktop. I ruled out dash reflection but could maybe I be seeing a laminate layer of this new "sound dampening" screen?

Safety glass is made with a laminate sandwiched between the glass. I don't know what exactly what the Sound Screen is made like, but I imagine it's something of the same with the laminate having a sound absorbing characteristic. You probably have a defect in the glass. :nut: I remember the glass in some really old houses have that wavy effect you're speaking of. As though the glass making process in those days wasn't very good.

are you wearing glasses while looking at the glass? Or do you notice the waves all the time?

I suppose I'm old enough to qualify for my first set of "cheater" glasses but have yet to cave.
The waves I see are throughout the entire windshield, albeit subtle .
That is why I concluded the laminate layer.

Maybe its just me.

I'm seeing it too. I thought it was just me but with my new eyes (had lasik surgery a couple months ago) I'm still seeing it. It does resemble heat coming off the pavement though. I've also noticed on the driver side mirror there is a film or a coating I'm assuming to deflect glare from the cars/trucks behind you. I can understand why its there, but I find that more distracting than the windshield though.

I'm so glad I'm not alone on this or was just seeing things.
It only catches my eye once in while. Hope I get use to it... 3yr lease.

SWEET!! I just hit over 2,200 this past weekend. It sucks, but I can't keep out of driving it. It's the only "stock" vehicle I have that hasn't been modded....yet. The thrill of being able to hear myself think, not get jarred to death drving it, and not getting single digit fuel mileage is GREAT! :woo-hoo:
