Okay guys I have a few questions for you so here goes:

1. I need my tranny rebuilt :banghd: how much am I looking at having to spend? How can I prevent this from happening again?

2. I have Dynomax mufflers right now but want a more V-eighty :naughty: sound than what I have whats a few good options?

3. I have the sunroof but for some reason I seem to be missing the little square panel piece that goes over the sunroof motor, any ideas as to how to find one easily?

4. I made a cone filter apparatus but to be quite honest it really blows :vomit: is there a cheaper option than SHOshop?

Thanks for all your help guys :salute:

1. I believe that FPS is the best for this, even NESHO is another option. Do some searching on it and I am sure you will find a ton of info on this. If you don't want to drive or pay the big bucks for a bullet proof trans you could take it somewhere locally, but chances are you will be back at some point. I have heard of prices as low as $900.

2. Flowmaster 40's, except no substitute...even throatier you say...then try taking out the 3rd cat...no performance gain but it will sounds even better!

3. Junk Yards are ugly and smelly, kinda like some mother-in-laws, but you have to be friends with them...that is where I would head!!

4. I have heard it said many many times....and I totally agree. There is no performance to be gain in the intake. There are several options out there for you to try, check v8sho.com for more info. My personal favorite...just removing the Sax (crazy intake tubing in the fender well) and drop in a K&N panel filter into the stock box. Others may disagree but this is what I have found.

Good luck :thumb:

I had my tranny replaced shortly after i bought my car. Between the cost of a tranny from Ford (at dealer cost), install at NESHO, install of trans-go shift kit, amsoil to flush it after a break in period and tranny cooler was about a little less than 2 grand.

Mufflers? I have flowmaster 40 series. Borla is nice as well.

Junkyards yes, however, be careful. A lot of interior pieces get destroyed. Price it out form Ford. Or e-mail nesho.com, they have a lot of parts.

As stated above, check out v8sho.com for intake info.

Stay away from SHOshop. Do a search here for them to learn some info. And in your sig, the first thing taht you should list as done to your V8 is a cam weld! If they are not done, get it done ASAP!

Anyone know of someone who'd weld my cams in Iowa? I've been wanting this done for a Looooooooooooong time and NEED IT DONE. I have 105K now I'd like to enjoy more......................... Then again .............................. $900 to $2000? Holy crap guys I don't know that I really can afford to go shelling out that sort of cash. I don't know that this car is worth THAT much to me. Don't get me wrong I love my 97 but thats alot of money for a guy with a baby on the way. I think I may need to sell it now. :oogle:
