Some help please.

Ok, my white car is acting up. I will be driving, or at a light, and the tach falls to 500 and i get a check engine light. car runs like it is on 4 cylinders. I get a 216 when i check codes. just replaced the coil pack, no effect. next up is a DIS module, to see if thats doing it.

any ideas? thanks, oz

edit: 500rpm, not 800.

216 is coil 2 failure? If so It seems you are on the right track. Aren't you near a few other sho owners? Maybe the way to go is swap known working DIS and then maybe computer. Everything grounded in the ignition path?

yup, everything grounded. coil pack no dice, will working dis this evening.
