Okay so I'm not all about Go, I must also SHOw. Here are some of my ideas that might be applied to my silver 93' MTX.

Corvette style center exhaust. I mean Dual duals. Polished double walled tips about 3-5" apart. This will be cut into the rear bumper central about 2-3" into the cover. The rest of the exhaust will be 3" from turbo to removable cat to 14" Magnaflow resonator to a single central 3" in dual 2.5" out Magnaflow muffler. Pretty straight forward. Def different. Only way to propperly do this is to remove(cut out) spare tire well and weld trunk floor flat. I already did this. It's all braced up too.

R33 Skyline type M cover. Instead of cutting the bejesus out of my OEM Gen2 front bumper cover for FMIC fitment and propper air flow to my air filter I will borrow my friends R33 Skyline type M front bumper cover since his car is down for a couple months for manifold and turbo upgrade. From there I will take it to a local custom fiberglass shop and have them make 2 bumpers into 1. I basically want the FMIC and fog light openings and the built in plate bracket along with lower look to match stock GEN2 side skirts.

Head light retro fit. As described in other topic I have access to a set of brand new R34 style 1 piece headlights from a 96 Nissan Maxima. The maxima has almost identical front end shape and size to the GEN2. I will trial fit them to see what obsticals need to be overcome. I know the fenders will have to be shaped to fit the different side marker shape. The grill will have to be fabbed not sure of that just yet. Maybe i will mimic the 99-04 mustang type grill.

AeroCatch Hood latches. Already got those and about to get them installed. Keeps the hood down and the perps out. Good piece of mind both ways.

Shaved rear door handles. This car is not a passenger car anymore. The back seat will most likely be removed.

Paint ideas. 2 tone. Basic style with an accent. I love the Silver on my car and I love Black. Well lets mix it up.Black top along the body line and silver metallic below. The car has a cowl hood so I will paint that all black except the side of the scoop. That will stay metallic silver. Just an accent on the front. Later I will have a Bayside Blue metallic dividing stripe to break the 2 colors up and to tie in my blue calipers and mainifolds and engine accents. Antenna will be shaved off and a Bullitt style billet gas lid installed.

Tail lights will be 50% black smoked. Removable film tint so the Police won't have hissy fits.

Another idea I had about is custom side skirts. The skirt is flat along the door bottoms and just seems to get thinner towards the back in a straight line. For the right side, what if you took a left skirt and cut it some where around the middle and did the same with the skirt on the car. Then you can graft the 2 together with a plastic welder and smooth it with body filler/resin. That would make it kinda look like a 94-98 M3 style skirt. It would also have basically all the same mounting points. If somebody has a SHO junk yard you could try this and if it doesn't work then throw the frankenstien piece away.

So what do we think?

Alot of those ideas sound pretty good. I'd definitely like to see what that front bumper would look like. And as far as shaving the rear door handles, why not do the front ones too? Other than that, alot of good ideas. Hopefully they all work out nicely...

The main thing with the bumper I'm getting molded is that is what I have access to for free. I just have to give it back to him after they are finished with it. This is what it looks like.

Want to keep the front door handles to make using the car easy. Anyways 1 set of rear door poppers is enough. Some rules or regulations require the use of door handles incase of a crash or dead battery.

Well actually There are one of those over here too. But that one gets driven every day. Don't know the guy either.

How about this. If you can get a nice one cheap that isn't cut or crushed you can send it to me Via MPS(Miltary Postal Service). The flexible buper covers can be bent in half with all the brackets and crap off of them. Then they can be put into a decent sized box to be shipped. My buddy did that with a Tsunami kit for his civic. The whole thing bent into a box. Lol! came out perfect after 2-3 days in the sun on his patio. If you are willing to do this let me know because I think a stock R33 GTR bumper cover will fit right up. And I will pay you for it.

Weigh it down? Lol. I've removed enough to compensate fo the extra weld metal. Don't worry my setup will make plenty of Torque to get out of its own way. Oh and I don't want people getting our silver Gen2's confused. Lol!

My dad had a pretty sweet idea for my paint scheme except i just want black.

His idea was black but with a dark grey accents like on the old manta's(hood and thick strip) here's a pic on what he was thinking http://www.cardomain.com/ride/733186

I think this car is F****** sweet BTW. If I had to chance to find a project, I would get one of those and set mine up just like his:dribble: except with more black LOL

Instead of using SHO side skirts, look into the CSVT ones. They already have the style that you mention, and they are just slightly longer I think then the SHO skirts.

A friend of mine measured the SVT ones several years ago when he was thinking about doing the same thing.

I like the maroon or silver one in the first pic. If you can do that for Me I would be in your debt, or I could just paye you. Is your SHO over in JAPAN? if so could you do a size and fitment comparison?

I wish it was or else I would have done that for you. Let me poke around and I'll find you some bumpers within the next two weeks here.

I think the R33 bumper will fit better. Might not even need modifying besides mounting points. It also flows well with the rest of the SHO's smooth body cladding. Let me know if you come across any nice R33 bumpers like shown above. I will see if the R33 bumper fits on to the nose of my car well(mine is off right now). I will have to give my buddy a call so he can bring the bumper over.

I think your right about the R33 Bumper fitting better as The top of the R32 Bumper has a near 90 degree angle when it edges off to the front of the bumper. I know of a few R33 Bumpers I could get for you. I'll grab pictures first. ****, One of the bumpers is even silver.

you're missing the UBER-YO-HUGE aluminum wing that makes these hondas so fast....

Umm I hope you aren't even trying to say Im ricing my car out. Just about everything has a function. The front bumper from the R33 Skyline is completely functional. The larger openings permit more air to hit the intercooler and the open upper grill area will help feed the Dual Core Radiator. The Fog light openings will feed the 9" long 4"Id air filter to feed the turbo and the passenger side one will cool the remote mount oil filter for lower oil temps.

The rear door handles are for smoothing the body and improving looks. The headlights will look a **** of allot better and put out more light.

Soo how does this have anything to do with an Uber Huge Honda wing?
