I got three bolt off and was thinking wow this is easy well get to the front passenger one and it became a "spinner" it popped out of the tabs but I got it back on them got it to turn about a half turn then it ripped out the tabs. Great.... so how do I tighten this thing back up once I start reassembly? I just cut off the bolt for now. Can I even get a wrench in there?! Have the recall kit so I’m set there. help... i hate this car. i'm trying to figure out way i decided to do this myself. :nut:

The only way i know how to get it out is to move the A/C accumulator. I just pushed it all the way in, and said to **** with it.

It's still in there almost 2 years later. :)

Take a m12 tap and clean the locking portion of the threads out of the new nut, then there will be no resistance when installing the new bolt. Use locktite if it makes you feel better.

If you're patient, you can get the new plate nut in place and get an offset box end wrench through the hole in the outboard side of the frame rail to hold it in place while tightening the new bolt.

If you're less than patient, make the hole in the frame rail bigger.

I Had the same problem accept both of mine spun in the front. I had luck with one but the other i had to cut the bolt and pulled the assembly thru the top and out the hole I expanded. Instead of going with the recall kit I decided to make my own. Basically i just welded up a couple nuts to a 1/4 in angle iron piece. The thing is its a pain in the ass to expand that hole b/c you gotta take apart a bunch of stuff.
