If I remember correctly they were only 100 bucks or so... and my factory "grill" was damaged recently frown

I saw one two weeks ago not on a car and I was not impressed. i definetley think the thought was great and awsome that someone wanted to take it on but not a good execution in my opinion. It was very think almost plaster like and VERY heavy in my opinon. I would rather get an extra grill and cut it up then use one of the replicas.

Being a moldmaker and expert in plastic forming of exactly this nature,i understand exactly how they were made.It is a VERY good effort, but not the correct way to produce them. They should have been plastic formed of ABS on a male mold. These are castings made from a female mold if i understand them correctly. It needs 1 or 2 steps more to be a good result.I will offer my knowledge of materials, building the molds, etc if anyone wants to make another effort, just let me know.
Practice makes perfect, and these were definately a step in the right direction.

That's one of them in my sig-pic. It is heavy but, damn cool. Personally, I like mine. The guy who made 'em was username douglee52 I think, although I haven't seen him around lately.

BTW there are 2 'real' police grilles on ebay now. I can't give you the link, but they should be easy enough to find.

For the cost of a custom one-off grill, you'd be financially better off to get one of CinciSHO's replica grills. I hear they are good quality both visually and structurally.
